Sudo xattr -d -r /Applications/SuperDuper!.app So, I suspect that if I do not want to see that message, the command would be: I just downloaded SuperDuper! v2.9.1, but the name of the downloaded file is SuperDuper!.dmg. Maybe GraphicConverter is different, but I'd be surprised, given all the versions that have come out for that app. I suspect there are exceptions, but for the most part, the version number is not part of the downloaded name. That would be the same name for that file downloaded no matter which version it is.įrom my understanding, names for apps typically do not have a version number as part of the name. But, for example, when I clicked on the Download tab next to Onyx 3.2.4, the name of the downloaded file was Onyx.dmg. Yes, there are version numbers that are specific to a Mac OS. For subsequent 10.x versions, would the message appear, or not? If, though, your suggestion works, I wonder if the message that the op did not want to see would be for version 10 only. For GraphicConverter, that is not correct.
